The results are in for the Travelodge Sleep Survey! Here's what our guests have to say about their sleep patterns and behaviours:
|
- 62.3% of respondents get between 6-7 hours sleep a night, while only 5.2% of respondents are luckily enough to get more than 8 hours sleep a night.
|
|
- 61.4% of respondents have fallen asleep on public transport while 40.3% of respondents have fallen asleep in a movie.
|
|
- Thankfully, dating seems to keep people awake, with only 3% of respondents stating they have fallen asleep on a date
|
|
- Work related stress keeps a high majority of our respondents awake at night (25.4%), followed by a partner's snoring (19.9%)
|
|
- Some of our respondents need to get a new bed, as 17.5% admitted to having a bad nights sleep in their own bed.
|
|
- Our respondents recommend the best way to catch up with sleep is to either sleep in on weekends (34.1%) or have an early night the following night (33%)
|
|
- When it comes to what side of the bed we sleep on, we’re creatures of habit. An overwhelming 71% stick to their familiar side of the bed even when in a hotel.
|
|
- Friday night is the best night for sleep with over a third of respondents (37%) reporting that Friday is the best night for sleep.
|
|
- Sunday night is the worst night for sleep with 40% of respondent stating it was a struggle. Might have something to do with work-related stress?
